A Nigerian doctor has made a plea for help online, asking for assistance following an incident where a junior doctor dear to him, narrowly escaped a life-threatening attack and was compelled to resume work by the Managing Director of the hospital where she is serving her NYSC assignment.
According to Twitter (X) user, @enodamade, the junior doctor was assaulted in the accommodation provided to her by St Theresa’s Hospital Use Abat in Ibiono Ibom, Akwa Ibom.

In a recent tweet, @enodamade expressed deep concern, stating:
“My hands are shaking as I type this. I almost lost a dear Junior doctor to the cold hands of death in her NYSC PPA.
She was attacked in the accommodation given to her by St Theresa’s Hospital Use Abat, Ibiono Ibom, Akwa Ibom.
After the assailant tried to kill her, the MD of the hospital forced her to work on the second day. Look at the pictures.
See her neck! And an MD who swore an oath to protect a junior colleague asked her to work on the day after the attack! I am gutted!”
The doctors plea for help shows the urgent need to protect this young doctor’s well-being and prevent the loss of yet another talented and promising medical practitioner.
As the story continues to circulate on social media, it as gained traction and as led to many reactions from netizens online
