A Nigerian Doctor, identified as “Dr. Val” has lost his life to Coronavirus. He is said to have treated injured protesters from the night of the Lekki toll gate shooting.
Dr Val’s aspiration was to be a great surgeon and an athlete. In a tweet he shared in August, he wrote,
“I’m gonna be an awesome mad ass Surgeon.. I’m gonna train myself like an athlete.. Train myself to beat record time. Do surgery effortlessly in minimal time spent. My skills would be second to none with 99% success rate. This on God I promise.. So help me God.”
#EndSARS protesters have been encouraged to watch out for COVID-19 symptoms and get tested for the virus. Recall that the youths were out in their numbers, disregarding social distancing to decry police brutality.
