A heartwarming video of a Nigerian father surprising his daughter with a new phone after her phone was stolen in school has melted the hearts of Internet users.
Sharing on TikTok, the father identified as @darrydollar1 stated that his daughter, who is a 100level student was unhappy and scared to inform him that her phone was stolen, shortly after she resumed school.
The Nigerian father mentioned that he had promised to buy her a new mobile phone when she gained admission into the university but he hasn’t fulfilled it.
He shared that the stolen phone was an old model that was given to her by her elder brother, hence, he decided to buy her a new version of the phone.
On getting to her school hostel, he gifted her his android phone as a prank while warning her against misplacing the phone, upon seeing her reaction, he brought out the new phone to surprise his daughter, who was appreciative as she unwrapped her new phone.
The heartwarming video has garnered netizens attention, with many acknowledging the father’s kind gesture and also commending the girl for being appreciative.
