A 38-year-old Nigerian man identified as Glen Thomas, has been arrested by the India Narcotics Control Bureau after he couriered drugs concealed in machine parts.
The suspect who couriered a parcel containing 200 grams of methamphetamine to a person in Doha, Qatar, was arrested by officials of India Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials in Chennai, India on Wednesday.
The suspect who told the NCB officials that he received the consignment from another Nigerian in Delhi which he concealed in machine parts, reportedly worked as a ‘facilitator’ for patients coming from abroad for treatment in hospitals in Chennai.
Confirming Glen’s arrest, officials who verified his documents disclosed that the suspect stayed in a rented room with his friend, also a Nigerian, in Medavakkam. The suspect’s friend was accused of overstaying after the expiration of his visa.
