A Nigerian man expresses shock after discovering an imprint of expiry date and batch number on a sausage roll he purchased in Awka, Anambra state.
Sharing on TikTok, the man @thededemix exclaimed that he was incognizant that the popular sausage roll company now imprints tattoos on its products in Anambra state.
He wrote,
“I No Know Say Anambra Gala Dey Get Tattoo ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜”
The viral clip disclosed the product information including batch number, production date and expiry date imprinted on the sausage roll meant for consumption instead of the outer case.
The worried man apparently knew that product information is traditionally imprinted on a product’s outer case. He wondered when the sausage roll company in Anambra State modified its branding style.
As the video went viral, it generated mixed reactions as Internet users claimed that the sausage roll was a counterfeit product as no competent food company will imprint product information on a snack instead of the outer case.
