In a recent development, a Nigerian woman has been apprehended by customs officials at the Delhi International Airport in India for allegedly smuggling cocaine with an estimated worth of ₹82 crore (equivalent to N75 million).

The arrest took place after the woman arrived from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Tuesday.
The arrest came about as a result of a thorough search of the woman’s belongings, specifically two blue-colored trolley bags.
During the examination, officials discovered concealed material within the bags.
Upon further inspection, a total of 5.8 kg of a white powdery substance suspected to be narcotics was found.
Upon conducting a diagnostic test, preliminary indications suggest that the substance is a commercial quantity of cocaine, holding an international value of ₹82.446 crore.
The woman was promptly taken into custody, and the narcotics were seized.
