Nigerians have taken to social media to drag popular Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay after she told a 17-year-old aspiring singer “he’ll never make money from singing”.
The singer and songwriter is one of the judges of the ongoing talent show, Nigerian Idol, and in a video serving rounds online, Seyi Shay harshly condemned the performance of the 17-year-old contestant.
According to the ‘Park and Go’ crooner, although the contestant has an amazing voice, his performance was terrible and will never make money from singing.
In her words,
“Somebody lied to you and told you to come and audition, and that person, you should go back and tell them they’re not your friends because that was not good audition.
“Oh, you have a good talking voice, and it comes out in your singing voice, but your performance, terrible. You’re never going to make money being a singer.”

However, netizens have taken to Twitter to drag the singer to pieces over her harsh verdict.
