Award-winning Nigerian actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has revealed that she has trademarked her first name “Omotola”.
The actress took to her social media pages to share the news with her fans and followers, alongside a boss lady photo of herself. Consequently, the 43-year-old Nollywood legend has exclusive right to the name.
The latest update has generated mixed reactions from netizens. Some opined that she had no right to trademark the name because it is a “public name”.

Meraiah and her mother celebrated their birthdays on Sunday, February 7, and shared alluring photos on their social media pages to mark the special day.
The L.A based star looked stunning in a figure hugging Turquoise blue evening gown.
Explaining the story behind the beautiful dress, she said it belonged to her mother and she has had her eyes on it for years.
She finally got her hands on the dress and decided to wear it on her 21st birthday.
She went on to share an old photo of her mother and stellar Nollywood actress wearing the same dress.
