A Nigerian clergyman, Prophet Ritabbi, has sparked a debate by advising men against forgiving their wives after discovering them cheating.
In a viral video of his sermon, the clergyman shared his views on how men should respond to a cheating spouse.
Addressing his congregation, the clergyman recounted a scenario where a man caught his wife in an act of infidelity and sought advice on how to proceed.
Prophet Ritabbi encouraged the man to have an open conversation with his wife, expressing his hurt while urging her to end her involvement with other men.
However, the clergyman cautioned against forgiving a cheating wife, stating that once a woman is caught in the act, the respect the husband holds for her diminishes.
He emphasized that any man claiming his body would function normally after such a betrayal is either lying or driven by lust rather than genuine love.
he further pointed that the Bible makes provisions for divorce in cases of adultery, and also spoke on the potential loss of respect if a husband decides to continue the relationship.
he said:
It is better your wife is cheating and you don’t know,
she will respect you but when you catch your wife and you keep her, the respect is gone”
