Popular Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has taken to social media to address the current generation of youths, often referred to as Gen Z, for their chronic lateness.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the 52-year-old actress queried Gen Zs for their habitual lateness at social events.
This observation comes from her recent experience at the All Stars inter-house sports event, where she arrived early and had to wait for others, including the hosts, Enioluwa and Tomike.
Kate Henshaw pointed out two common excuses people give for arriving late and described them as silly. Firstly, she said some claim they don’t want to be the first to arrive, while the second category intentionally arrive late because they want to make a grand entrance.
She asserted that both excuses are unreasonable, emphasizing that tardiness reflects a lack of respect for oneself and the event’s host.
The movie star also remarked that Gen Zs only respect money and international visa appointments.
She captioned the post,
“Like I need answers in the comment section .
Why do people bother putting time for an event if it won’t be honoured??🙄🙄🙄
Might as well say, come anytime you like.
It’s not palatable anymore, mbok. You people should stop it!!!
Oh, by the way, there is African time, and then there is Gen-Z time. @enioluwaofficial will be able to shed more light..😝
I greet you all ooo ..”
