Nigeria has lost one of its lionized traditional rulers, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuwade, who died on Tuesday, 28th of July, 2015.
The traditional ruler reportedly died in the United Kingdom after reports that he was flown out of the country when he slumped in his hometown on Thursday.
The king emerged as ruler in December, 1980. He was the fiftieth ruler of Ife, a town which is referred to as the origin of the Yorubas.
His soul rest in peace.
