Opeyemi Falegan, a Nigerian politician and ex-lover of actress, Nkechi Blessing-Sunday, has debunked claims that his sister, Helen’s marriage to the former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has crashed.
Recall that the clergyman and his wife made headlines recently over claims that they have divorced after 25 years of marriage over alleged infidelity.
It was reported that Mrs Oritsejafor, fondly called Mama Helen, has moved out of their matrimonial home with their kids and relocated to the UK.
Reacting to the news, Falegan took to his Instagram page to dismiss the rumour as false, stating that his sister is not divorced. He also rubbished claims of infidelity in the marriage.
He posted a photo of the couple and wrote;
“My sister is not divorced and will never be Divorced this claim is without evidence” as some media outlets framed it, Before you share a story kindly spend a moment evaluating the evidence. Attaching our family name( falegan) to infidelity is not only disgusting but abhorrence and totally unacceptable, Falegan families are known for their strong moral principles.
I Support good journalism but I will criticise stories that are poorly researched or downright misleading. Use your media literacy to discern and amplify truths that are backed up by good evidence, Kindly desist from further lies . – opeyemi david falegan . However, it was gathered that Mama Helen was noticeably absent from the week-long celebration of her husband’s 50th anniversary as the pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, Warri, in November.
See some photos from the event graced by some notable clergymen like Pastor Adeboye below,
Her picture was also absent on the flyer of the program.
During the week-long event, Mama Helen continued holding her live morning prayer sessions on Facebook called “Command The Day”.
Meanwhile, neither Papa Ayo, Mama Helen nor the church have confirmed or debunked the report.
