Award winning Ghanaian vocalist, Efya has reacted to public perception about her addiction to smoking weed.
However, Efya in an interview with Delay has disclosed that people thought that way because she hanged around R2Bees who made their smoking activities public.
She said:
“I think it is the boys; Paedae, R2bees — they put it out there when they’re smoking and because of my affiliation with them and everything. But I don’t think that should be a point. I don’t think just because I hang around with people that smoke you should think that I smoke too.”
Well, Celebrities around the world are addicted to one thing or the other. If it’s not drugs then chronic womanizing on the part of the guys.
The same story can be told in Ghana. Although, in the outside world, celebrities don’t debunk rumors pertaining to their addictions but the story is different in Ghana even if they’re caught red-handed.
Former member of the House of Representatives in the second republic, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, without mincing words called former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, a nonentity for the latter daring to say Northerners are lazy for not wanting the restructuring of Nigeria.
While reacting to Atiku’s comment in an interview with The Sun, Junaid said:
“Atiku is a scoundrel and a bloody nonentity. He attained political limelight because the late Musa Yar’Adua put him there; today he wants to position himself as the leader of the north. But the north doesn’t give people of no consequence such position. His interest is not really about restructuring. He thinks by insulting the north, the same way we are being insulted by the south, that will give him the presidency. With this kind of attitude, he can’t be the president of Nigeria. He will hear from the north at the appropriate time. He is one of those making the south to abuse the north. He is angry because his monopoly in the oil servicing sector has been broken. His wealth will never buy him Nigeria’s presidency. The north is not for sale, Nigeria is not for sale. I pray God sees us beyond 2019, let him challenge me, if he ever becomes Nigeria’s president,”.

A teenager had faced bullying all her life due to an extremely rare skin condition which leaves her covered in scales.
Floraine Nalugon, who was dubbed “snake lady” said she had to move from her hometown with her parents when she was just 7 to a different town because of the insensitive comments people made about her.
According to her, her parents told her she was conceived out of fish that’s why she has skin that looks like fish scale. Other said her skin looks like snake skin.
Floraine needs to constantly smear her body with moisturiser to stop it from hardening and seizing up. She said her bedding is covered in “scales” every morning when she wakes up and she rarely ventures into the crowded places in a bid to avoid unwanted stares.
The teen suffers with ichthyosis – a condition where a faulty gene affects the rate at which the skin regenerates causing a build-up of rough, scaly skin. Floraine,17, from Bukindnon in the Philippines hopes to be treated by experts in Spain who are looking into her case.
She said: “When I was seven years old, my parents moved. Initially, I thought I could escape kids back home, who ridiculed me for my condition.
My parents told me that I was conceived out of fish, that’s why my skin looks like fish scales to some while to others it looks like snake skin. It hurts me lot hearing other people making fun of me. My parents gave me the strength through. They showered me with love despite my physical deformities.”
India-based press agency Newslions is currently helping Shalini Yadav, 16, from Madhya Pradesh get treatment for a similar condition in Malaga. They have taken details of Floraine’s case to the same doctors.
Florained says she is excited to know that there is a treatment of the disease she suffers from. She is determined to make something out of her life to show those who discriminated against her that there is more to her.
She said; “I will be studying hard, get a good job and show to people that discriminate against me that there is a chance for me to be like them also. I am hopeful that I will also be treated like the Indian girl, who suffers from the same disease like mine, is being treated today.”
Cardi B is the first female rapper to rule without any other billed acts since Lauryn Hill in 1998. Plus, Portugal. The Man earns its first top 10.
Cardi B becomes the first female rapper to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart without the assistance of any other credited artists in nearly 19 years, as her debut hit “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” rises from No. 2 to No. 1 on the latest chart (dated Oct. 7).
There are a few reasons why this is such a significant piece of news. For one, Cardi B has gone from the most entertaining breakout star of the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop to chart-topping rapper in under two years.
For another, she’s now the first solo female rapper to reach this height since Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” debuted at No. 1 in 1998, or almost 20 years ago.
Nicki Minaj
If this stat surprises you — what about Nicki Minaj or Missy Elliott?! — the way Billboard calculates its Hot 100 rankings comes down to Nielsen’s measurements of streaming plays, sales, and crucially, radio play.
“Bodak Yellow” exploded in all three areas almost immediately; in just the past week, Billboard reports that the song’s streaming plays increased by 14 percent. As a result, 11 weeks later, “Bodak Yellow” has knocked Swift out of the top spot.
Cardi B
As expected, fans have been trying to start a superiority war between Rap queen, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B .It has even gotten more intense after her new milestone…

Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday handed over 120 new 5KVA generating sets to the Lagos State Police Command to power all police formations across the State, with a pledge of continuous support to security agencies to ensure optimal performance.
Speaking at Lagos House in Ikeja while handing over the generating sets to the police, the Governor reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure the enforcement of rule of law and safety of lives and property in the State, just as he said that his vision was for the State to be among the safest places to live and work in Africa.
Governor Ambode, who was represented at the brief handing over ceremony by the Chairman of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Mr Oye-Hassan Odukale, said the security of residents and investors remain one of the cardinal objectives of his administration, and that government would not relent in coming up with initiatives and programmes to guarantee safety of the people.
He said the generating sets were procured by the Fund to ensure that police formations in the State work optimally in their mandate of safeguarding lives and property.
According to him: “Lagos State is the safest State and we hope to make the State to be among the safest States in Africa which is our objective at the Fund. Anything about security is given high priority by our administration. Lagosians are now feeling safe.
The safety that we are experiencing don’t come cheap but I like to assure that at the Fund, we are always willing to move at any time to ensure that we keep Lagos safe,” he said.
The Governor also congratulated the new Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr Imohimi Edgal, and pledged to work with him to ensure the safety of the people.
He said aside the provision of the generating sets, the LSSTF had also been mandated to carry out the installations of the new equipment in all the Divisions and Area Commands in the State.
Besides, Governor Ambode urged police officers to take good care of the generating sets and use them for the purpose meant for the overall benefit and safety of the people.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Executive Secretary of LSSTF, Dr Abdulrazak Balogun said the generating sets would be distributed across the 107 Police Divisions and 13 Area Commands in the State. He said the procurement of the generating sets was in furtherance of the Light Up Lagos Project of the present administration aimed at ensuring that every nook and cranny of the State are well lit.
He said: “The procurement is also in tandem with Governor Ambode’s vision of a secured and investment-friendly Lagos. Police formations are critical to securing lives and property in the State and it is very important that these stations function optimally. This is why the Lagos State Security Council recommended the provision of power generating sets for these stations and the State Security Trust Fund expeditiously approved the expenditure.”
Responding, the State’s Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Imohimi Edgal thanked Governor Ambode for the gesture, saying that the generating sets could not have come at a better time.
While assuring that the generating sets would be put to optimal use, Edgal said that the facility would go a long way to ensuring that the divisional and area commands are well lit up to enable them effectively enforce the laws of the land.
“You can imagine the confidence members of the public will have if divisional headquarters and area commands are lit with the confidence that their matters would be earnestly addressed.
“Power is very essential. Our communication gadgets, especially phones need to be charged. You cannot function anywhere, you can’t take complains, you can’t give directives to field officers when there is no power. These generating sets are very valuable to us,” the CP said.
Toyin Aimakhu and Adeniyi Johnson may be looking to still live together as husband and wife – or so hopeful fans think, and this is because the duo who separated years ago are still legally married.
Recall that their relationship packed up in 2015 following rumours that the actor cheated on her. The duo moved on to date other people, with Toyin getting into yet-another disastrous relationship with filmmaker Seun Egbede of Golden Effects Films who is presently in prison on fraud charges.
Many people assumed that Toyin and Adeniyi were legally over, until this latest report from SDK, which cited a source close to the duo, saying that the actors are still married.
According to this source, Toyin filed for divorce but when her lawyers reached out to the actor last year, he hesitated, saying he needed to consult people before going ahead with the decision to dissolve their relationship. He had yet to respond to the suit as at press time.
Here’s what the source said:
“Toyin’s Lawyer had called Niyi to finalise the divorce. Instead of Niyi’s lawyer contacting Toyin’s, Niyi showed up at the meeting alone without his lawyer at the mall in Ikeja. After deliberations and discussions, Niyi said he would like to consult some people first and he should be allowed to get in touch with his lawyer and agreed to get back to them. When they didn’t hear from him, Toyin tried reaching out to him personally to sort the issue but as we speak Toyin is yet to hear from him as well.”
The blog added that the former couple are “showing signs of reconciliation.”
In a new interview with BellaNaija, Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh has admitted that his marriage to Nigerian actress, Damilola Adegbite has crashed after months of speculations and denials.
When asked how he and his ex-wife Damilola Adegbite balanced their marriage, son and work, he said:
“I believe throughout our marriage, It has probably been one of the most challenging things we have ever done, however, the key word is balance.
At times when we both had to work, our parents would be there to hold the fort. God bless family because they were and still are very supportive.
However, since the divorce, we are obviously now reworking things to create a new balance between work, spending time with and raising our son. Dami is a wonderful woman and an amazing mother. .
Despite our differences, she and I will always be friends. So more than anything, we will find ways to continue to make sure that Brian can still have a balanced upbringing filled with love and support. .
Both our families have been and are still very supportive in helping us take care of our son Brian when we can’t be there due to work.”

Read Her Testimony;
“TESTIMONY SATURDAY..
I was told shortly after I got married in 2012 that I had PCOS and I would find it difficult to concieve because I wasn’t ovulating. I refused to let the doctors report sink in but held on to God’s promises.
Few months after my period flow changed, instead of having the normal blood flow of 5 days, I bled for 60-90 days and had just 2-3 weeks break.
How I survived that period, I don’t know but God kept me. At a point my GP said I was Anemic. And then people began to ask when we wiLl be having our babies and my constant answer was,we were not yet ready.
Then came August 2013 during the Holyghost convention( I watched the Live transmission on TV) and Pastor Adeboye asked those who had their babies within the period of the Last covention and dat service to come with their babies.
While they danced to the altar, I cried to God silently asking for my own baby..then my hubby @kaykums who was oblivious of my prayers just spoke and said by this time next year, we wiLl have a son and he named him.
And yes, God honoured it. Exactly that time the next year we had a son. It was A miracle.
Two years after I began to panic, I wanted to be sure God had healed me and I could have more children then we began trying for another baby…I saw my period again.I was devastated and I wept..( I am sure God must have been laughing at me) the next month, I had a dream where my mum was telling me I was pregnant.
Few weeks after I was confirmed pregnant. Not just that, I was carrying a set of twins. I was in awe of God…a set of twins!! From being told I was not ovulating to carrying a set of Twins..Haba this God!!! And after 9months , a week after our wedding anniversary they were delivered.
I don’t know what you have been told but One thing I know is if God could bring to nought a negative report he is able to turn you situation around….Nothing can STOP him from fulfilling his promises concerning you.. I have decided to share my testimony of God Mercies today to bring Glory to his name and encourage someone today.
He is going to wipe your secret tears and fill you with everlasting joy

Nollywood actress Jaiye Kuti has frowned at the dressing of 29-year-old singer, Rihanna, a fashion sense Jaiye clearly describes as “madness”.
Rihanna who has never shown caution or modesty when it comes to fashion was pictured at a recent event looking exceptionally good except that one boob was left bared for the camera, with the singer and entrepreneur smartly covering her Tip with her hand.
This particular picture caught the eye of actress Jaiye Kuti and she could not hide her disgust at the ‘tasteless’ fashion. Not able to stop herself, she commented “this is madness” meaning she would not be caught dead looking like that.
Well, thinking of it now, it would be outrageous and a matter of national concern if Jaiye kuti should step out like that, but Rihanna, we are used to it!

A Burundian woman named Jesca has claimed she has 4-year-old twin daughters who were sired by singer, Diamond Platnumz.
Jesca’s claims come about a week after Diamond Platnumz admitted to cheating on his partner, Zari Hassan, with Tanzanian video vixen, Hamisa Mobetto, who gave birth to Diamond’s son on August 8, 2017.
The 24-year-old woman, who goes by the name “honeyJesca” on Instagram, claims she had a fling with the Tanzanian musician when he went to Burundi to perform and she gave birth to the girls in 2013.
She claims she was a video vixen in Diamond Platnumz’s song called Najuwa featuring Burundian singer Lolilo, which was released in January, 2012.
She claims they first had sex when they were shooting the music video in January, 2012; and the habit would continue every time Diamond Platnumz visited Burundi.
Jesca, who shared on Instagram pictures of herself holding two young girls, says for those who do not believe her, she is ready to allow a test be conducted on the girls to prove that they are Diamond Platnumz’s children.
“The two girls are Diamond Platnumz’s children, whom he sired with me in 2013. I met him when he came to our country for a concert. After his performance, he asked one of his boys, whose nickname was Mafya, to direct me to a hotel room where he was. I went and met him. We got intimate,” she wrote.
“Since then, he has never given me any financial assistance. If he does not believe that the children are his, I am ready to let the children’s DNA samples be matched with his. I have not come out now to gain any fame. I am serious. What I am saying is the truth, and the truth always has a way of coming out.
“Please Diamond Platnumz, I have raised these children solely since the day they were born. It is now time for you to take them in and provide for them. I give up,” said Jesca.
Jesca says Diamond Platnumz’s mother, Sandra Sanura Kassim, is aware that her son had sired twins with her.
“Diamond Platnumz, please tell people the truth. Alternatively, send me air fare to come to Tanzania and conduct a DNA test on the children. Sandra Kassim, you know the truth; everything that transpired between your son and I.”
Jesca went ahead to share what looks like a private Instagram conversation between her and a sender, believed to be Diamond Platnumz, showing that Diamond Platnumz was ignoring her, when she requested for money to support the children.
Jesca further accuses Diamond Platnumz’s partner, Zari Hassan, of hacking her Instagram page, which she says initially had 450, 000 followers, and deleted all her posts, which linked Diamond Platnumz to the paternity of her children.
Jesca alleges that Zari Hassan was her best friend until she (Jesca) got pregnant by Diamond, when their friendship ended.
Jesca says she will travel to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Monday, September 25 to meet with Diamond Platnumz.
Just few weeks after the mother of one, Tonto Dikeh shared a disturbing video of house fly infestation in her son’s room which she attributed to witchcraft, she has shared yet another video of her swollen eye, saying she woke up like that, and folks thought it was yet another shade targeted at her husband, most especially her ex-husband Churchill Olakunle.
The distressed mother who had previously preached about loving her critics, is not letting this drag session go bye so easily.
She wrote:
“You read a caption & You watch the video and it has nothing to do with the caption. You still vent anger. I Am not your frustration. I Am not your hardship. I Am not your pain ooooo…Go get frustrated elsewhere,” said the angry mum to her critics.
“Everyday am getting blessed so e no matter whether you talk or you no talk••it doesn’t change nothing Bae. I am a drama queen, am I your Drama??”
She then targeted a specific Instagrammer, Lilian, alleging that the critic has a “dirty mind”, that this critic needs Jesus.
Here;s a viral photo of a man relaxing on Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge with his car and a bottle of wine. It has since gone viral on social media and has got a lot of people talking.
It is obvious he isn’t doing this for the first time as he was pictured with same type of car in another location as seen below:
The woman once dubbed ‘the heaviest in the world’, has died in a hospital in the United Arab Emirates aged 37.
Eman Ahmed Abd El Aty, from Alexandria, Egypt, once weighed 1,100lbs, and before her surgery earlier this year had not left her house since she was 17.
Doctors at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi said Miss Ahmed Abd El Aty had died due to complications from her weight, including heart disease and kidney dysfunction.
Doctors blamed her weight on a thyroid condition, while her family claimed she suffered from elephantitis.
In March Miss Ahmed Abd El Aty was flown to Saifee Hospital in Mumbai, India, on a modified plane. She successfully underwent a gastric sleeve surgery and was reported in April to have lost 660 lbs – more than half of her bodyweight.
Miss Ahmed Abd El Aty arrived in the UAE in May, and was receiving care from a team of 20 doctors at Burjeel Hospital.
The ‘collapse’ of Ghana Movie Industry has compelled most of the actors, actresses and producers to venture into other avenues to fill their pockets.
Interestingly on the part of the actresses, some have turned into ‘slaying‘ because they’ve virtually become redundant.
However, actress Martha Ankomah has been living a life worthy of emulation as per how she carries herself of late.
This has caught the attention of many industry players especially rapper Sarkodie who in a new song with Criss Kwaku Waddle titled ‘Bɔkɔɔ deɛ’ has lauded Martha Ankomah for her character.
According to Sarkodie, Ghanaian men must invest in ladies who possess the character trait of the actress for a reason only known to him. Well, this recommendation might be born out of the descent appearance put forth by Martha Ankomah of late.
“Sika deɛ m’anya bi na investment nkoara na me yɛ. Me de bi koraa rebɛhyɛ Martha Ankomah mu”.
Well, do you think Martha Ankoma’s replica will be a very good wife for Ghanaian men as recommend by Sarkodie?
Arguably, listen to the song which was recorded in the Ghanaian native language below and tell us your side of the story…lol

On her baby daddy’s relationship with their daughter, she said;
He’s not ready to meet her yet. I think. Maybe he has his own reasons or demons. He doesn’t call, hasn’t met her. I’m sure when he’s ready.

A God fearing ,supportive man.A man who can not stand tears in my eyes. That’s the man I want.
A Nigerian Lady who visited her cousin schooling in the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has recounted what she experienced at the popular Yaba Market located in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the lady who was feeling fly in a short tight skirt, a crop top and a nice high heels, As she and her cousin’s friends strolled, with light laughter punctuating their chitchat, a bunch of scary men with sweat all over their faces started running towards them.
She wrote:
“Two summers ago, I was in Lagos, Nigeria. So I decided one weekend to go see my cousin who schools in Unilag. There I was feeling fly in a short tight skirt, a crop top and these mad high heels (that I got as a gift from my boyfriend) still thinking I was in Ontario. We had a wonderful time and when it was time to leave, I invited my cousin and her friends over to my place. I called my driver to come pick us up but he said he was stuck in traffic and said i should give him just 2 hours. I considered waiting but all the patience I had built up got swallowed suddenly by darkness- a power outage. The heat became intense, so one of the girls suggested that we take a taxi. We agreed.
We got to the taxi park on campus but eventually took a bus because we couldn’t get a taxi. You could have seen the way everyone was judging me with their eyes as I climbed onto the bus. Their piercing gazes made me feel so uncomfortable. We got down at Yaba and had to walk to catch the next bus. As we strolled, with light laughter punctuating our chitchat, a bunch of scary men with sweat all over their faces started running toward us. They seemed to be arguing amongst themselves. They started telling us they had clothes for us to buy. Oh my Gosh! I was so scared. They even smelt of alcohol. It got to a point they started pulling us by our wrists. I couldn’t take it anymore and one of the men even had the guts to hold me by the waist. I gave him a dirty slap. Everywhere went silent and my cousin looked at me like “you done f**k up”.
The man, mouth wide open started spraying saliva all over my face. He starting shouting some language (maybe Yoruba) which I couldn’t comprehend. His hands were raised, probably threatening to slap me back. He was wearing a sleeveless shirt and I could see the hair under his armpits and I was disgusted. I stood there dumbfounded until my cousin came to my rescue. She held my hand and started to drag me out of the market.
