Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim has spoken up about her experience with an abusive boyfriend.

In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the beautiful thespian revealed that her ex-boyfriend would frequently force his way with her and lock her up for days.

His justification, she claims, was that they were in a relationship and so it couldn’t be termed “rape.”

She, however, didn’t reveal the identity of the partner. The 36-year-old added that she had to fight her way out of the abusive relationship.

“I told him what he did was rape and he said but we were in a relationship. But was I ready, that was the question, did I say I was in the mood? I kept saying no, stop it, stop it, you pin me down and you’re doing whatever you wanted to do and you’re smiling saying don’t worry.

“And you’re kissing whilst I’m crying, that means you’re a rapist and I had to leave that relationship. I fought my way out of that relationship because he even locked me up in his house for days until my sister Sonia came to find me.

“I was scared, uncertain of what to do because this guy was huge and taller than me. He can raise you above the wall. And just imagine that it was every day. Every day, he wanted to do something. That is rape. You’re naïve. Who do you go and tell? Who would come and fight for you?

“But ladies you can report it now, go and report. If your husband is forcing you to do when you’re not in the mood it is rape and I tell these men that you cannot force a woman.” She said.

Popular Nigerian singer, Ric Hassani has publicly apologized over a tweet he made about his colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Ric had taken to Twitter after Burna Boy’s stellar performance at the Madison Square Garden in New York to praise him, while seemingly belittling his other colleagues in the process.

“I hope everyone has seen Burna’s MSG performance and I hope that becomes the standard.”
No more nonsenses and mimings and yellings on stage please,” he tweeted.

The tweet didn’t sit well with a lot of people and they dragged him to shreds for shading his colleagues, while stating that he could have hailed Burna Boy without putting anyone down.

He also admitted that he could have passed his message in a way that would not make his colleagues feel attacked.

The Nigerian police force has revealed that the Nigerian lady in the viral video who claimed she was paid N1.1million for sleeping with a dog will be invited for questioning.

The police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this revelation in a chat with newsmen.

The said lady, identified as Veegodess, sparked outrage after a video where she admitted to sleeping with a dog for a pay of N1.1 million went viral.

He added that whether or not the ladies were joking, they must be brought in for questioning.

In a tweet, Adejobi also pointed that sexual relations with an animal is a crime in Nigeria.

The actress ended up on the receiving end of criticism for complimenting Judy after Yul Edochie announced he had taken her as a second wife and that they have a son together.

A Nigerian man, Arinze Uzoagu from Igboukwu, Anambra State who recently became a proud father of four, has taken to his social media page to pray for couples who are also waiting for their bundle of joy.

Mr Uzoagu, an MC, and his wife, Chinaza Blessing welcomed quadruplets, three girls and a boy, early April, 2022, after six years of waiting.

Here’s what he shared on facebook.

“For those couples waiting to have a child in their various homes. To my fellow men I will tell you this, I do wake up before by this time of the night sometimes. All bothered and thinking.”

“Well, I am awake tonight not bothered or thinking. Three out of my four children woke up at the same time. So I am awake for a different reason…..a good reason.

“I pray you be like me by this time next year. Nwanne your sleep will no longer be cut short because of worries. Your sleep will be cut short because you are a new father…playing the new fatherly role to your newborn. This is my prayer for you tonight”

Shortly after the amazing birth of his Quadruplets, here’s what he had written;

“I and my wife did our traditional marriage on the 30th of December, 2015. Our church wedding was exactly a year after, 30th December, 2016. At the span of this period, we have been to several hospitals around Nigeria seeking for JUST A CHILD TO CALL US DADDY AND MUMMY

“In our sojourn, we have had 2 failed IVFs and one failed IUI. When these three experiences didn’t kill us or break us or make us abandon our faith, it became apparent that nothing else can.

“But we never lost hope. We believed. We trusted and we obeyed. So when sometime in August the results said my wife was pregnant, our joy knew no bound. We asked God to lead us through and this God that I serve did not disappoint.

“For the records, in the course of these 9 months. My wife had no complications, no challenges and form of panicky situation. Not one whatsoever.

“So at some minutes past 7am this morning. I and my sister positioned at the corridor leading to the entrance of the hospital’s theater as my wife was wheeled in. My mum led as we sang the hymns for some minutes, until the unthinkable happened.

“One of the nurses emerged from the theater and asked ‘oga you are the husband right?’ I said yes. Congratulations he said. YOUR WIFE HAS JUST BEEN DELIVERED OF A SET OF QUADRUPLETS.

“I was dumbfounded. I am still dumbfounded. We asked for years just for a child to call our own. God said Arinze na Blessing I will give you 4.

“Never give up I say to you. God is still in the business of doing great things. He did it for us….HE WILL DO IT FOR YOU.”

A Nigerian Man identified as Collins Odahbor has been arrested in Benin city after he reportedly defiled an underaged girl who was sent on an errand.

Twitter user, @olu_wani shared photos of the suspect and said that the authorities are trying to shield the story because the man’s parents are wealthy.

According to reports, the unfortunate incident happened on Friday, April 29 in Benin. It was gathered that the victim was sent to fetch water by her parents when Collins, a father-of-two, accosted her, dragged her into his house and raped her.

“All holidays in Nigeria should be cancelled” – Dangote’s son-in-law, Jamil Abubakar

Captain Jamil Abubakar, the son-in-law of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has stated that all holidays in Nigeria should be cancelled.

Taking to his social media page today, April 20, Jamil said Nigeria is far behind other countries and needs every effort to catch up with them.

According to him, all holidays including weekends should be cancelled so Nigerians can use the time to work and move the country forward.

He however noted that one day in a week can be set aside for people to rest and recharge, then get back to work.

Jamil tweeted,

“All holidays in Nigeria should be cancelled. We are so far behind, we need to catch up. In actual facts, even weekend should be canceled. Everyone should have one day of rest & back to work All this holiday left right center no money, who eee epp? Make una tell me.”

A while ago, Jamil Abubakar gave an advice to people who are intending to marry.

Jamil, who is the son of former IG of police, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar, in a tweet on his page, stated that people who don’t have money to get married shouldn’t approach him for help.

According to him, marriage goes beyond wedding and those who can’t provide the basics after wedding, should let go of the decision.

He tweeted,

“If u don’t have shishi to get married. Abeg no send me any message, because I won’t aide your decision. Marriage goes beyond the wedding oooo. If u can’t provide the basics after the wedding, then marriage is not for u. Don’t be a liability to self & others BIKONU!”

Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke better known as Davido, has taken to his social media page to celebrate his baby mama, Chioma Rowland, as she turns a year older.

The celebrity chef, who is also known as Chef Chi, is celebrating her 27th birthday today, April 30, and shared jaw dropping photos of herself on her official Instagram page.

Davido, her baby-daddy and ex-fiancé, reposted one of the photos on his Instastory and showered heartfelt prayers on her to mark her new age.

He also urged her to have fun and enjoy her day to the fullest because she deserves it.

“Happy birthday chiom chiom. My prayer is that God continue to bless you, give you everything you desire and more! Chi day. Turn up to the fullest! You deserve it,” the singer wrote.

A heartwarming video of Zion, 2Baba’s lookalike son with Sumbo Adeoye, delivering a speech at his mum’s 40th birthday has stirred sweet reactions from Nigerians on social media.

Sunmbo took to her Instagram page on Friday to share the throwback video of Zion giving a speech at her birthday recently. The young man lavished admiration on his mother, thanking her for all of her loving sacrifices for him and his younger brother, Nino.

He characterised his mother as a kind mother who prioritises the needs of others before her own.

“Mummy you are a blessing to all of us…I love you with all my heart. As your son, I know all that you have done to make me and Nino the happiest people that’s in the planet at this point”, he said in part.

Sharing the video, Sumbo wrote,

Big Brother Naija star, Princess Francis, has averred that polygamy is better than being in an abusive marriage.

The reality star said this while sharing her opinion on polygamy.

According to her, marrying a second wife is better than subjecting one’s wife to abuse and torture.

In other news, a Nigerian man, simply identified as Nnachebem, has called out a lady he claims is living with a married man in Asaba, Delta State.

Nnachebem took to Facebook to drag the lady, whom he called Uzoamaka, after she berated actor, Yul Edochie, for marrying a second wife and having a child with her.

According to him, the wife of the man she is allegedly living with is still hurt from the pain of losing her husband, yet she has the effrontery to come online to drag Yul.

He also threatened to expose the woman’s dirty laundry on social media if she doesn’t refrain from dragging the actor.

He wrote;

“Why I have never said ‘I love you’ to a woman before – Falz reveals (video)

Popular Nigerian singer, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has revealed that he has never ‘expressed’ love to a woman.

The 31-year-old singer who made this revelation in a chat with Taymesan said he has never been in love before, and as a result, he has never said “I love you” to a woman.

When Taymesan asked if he probably had said it as a teenager or while in college, Falz insisted that he had never professed love to a woman.

“I have never said I love you to a woman… I’ve not been in love with before, I never said to woman in a romantical way, I’m in love with you.” He told Taymesan.

Meanwhile, Falz has affirmed that he is genuinely fulfilling his passion.

Wife helps her husband pack things for his other wife in Africa (video)

A video showing a wife joyfully helping her husband pack clothes and underwear for his other wife has gone viral after it was shared online.

The husband was preparing to visit his second wife in Nigeria when his wife abroad joined him in packing a box of new items for him to gift to her co-wife.

The video was shared on the popular video sharing platform, TikTok. Sharing the video, she revealed that although she’s from a polygamous family, she never wants to toll that part.

“This is my dad and mom. My dad is traveling to Africa and my mom is helping pack his suitcase with things for my other mom in Africa. My dad has two wives. I could never
be my moms. God bless their generation”, she wrote.
