Professor Pat Utomi, a presidential candidate of Labour Party, has stepped down for his counterpart, Peter Obi, at the party’s primary election held in Asaba, Delta State.
Utomi announced that he was relinquishing his presidential aspiration for Peter Obi at the primaries on Monday, May 30.
Obi joined Labour Party barely a week ago after resigning from the People Democratic Party (PDP) where he was running against Atiku Abubakar and other presidential hopefuls.
Following Utomi’s declaration, the former two-time governor of Anambra State will be Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the forthcoming general election in 2023.
Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar is the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
A while ago, A young Nigerian man took to his Twitter page to reveal the reason why he broke up with his girlfriend — according to Bassey Awai, his ex-girlfriend did not have a PVC and that doesn’t sit well with him.
He revealed that, she not having a voter’s card will make her unable to support Nigerian politician, Peter Obi in the forthcoming elections and as such, he can’t be with someone “who doesn’t have the interest of their unborn children at heart”.
Bassey Awai wrote in his tweet, alongside a photo of himself,
I just break up with my girlfriend today, she doesn’t have PVC to support Peter obi. I can’t date someone who doesn’t have the interest of our unborn children At ♥ heart.
