Meanwhile, Brad gave a statement to People and said that his focus is on their six children—Maddox, 15; Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; Shiloh, 10; Knox, 8; and Vivienne, 8—during this tumultuous period. “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids,” he said. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
Jolie filed for divorce from the actor on Monday and cited irreconcilable differences. The couple dated for a decade before their 2014 wedding and, according to court documents, separated on Sept. 15.
The mom of six has also released a statement through her attorney. “This decision was made for the health of the family,” her legal representative said. “She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.”
