Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo and Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko were among dignitaries present at the funeral service of the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade which was scheduled for August 14, 2015 at Ile Ife.
The interdenominational service took place at Enuwa Square in front of the late monarch’s palace.
The sermon was delivered by the Bishop of the Ife Diocese of the Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Oluranti Odubogun.
The Ooni passed away on July 28 in the United Kingdom but his death was officially announced on August 12.
