Hope Oyiza, a Nigerian woman who returned from Libya in 2017, has issued a stern warning to her fellow compatriots against traveling to the war-torn country.
Taking to Facebook on Thursday, February 1, Oyiza shared her harrowing ordeal in Libya, revealing that she endured serial sexual abuse and false accusations by her employer.
She said she was tortured for hours by the authorities before being imprisoned, even without officially appearing in court.
According to her, she still has physical and emotional scars that haven’t faded seven years after her return.
Oyiza, who now advocates against human trafficking, advised Nigerians against irregular migration and raised awareness about the dangers faced by individuals in Libya.
