Ibadan-based comedian and event compere, Owomoyela Nifemi, popularly known by his stage name, Peteru Comedy, has passed away.
The skit maker, who is well-known for his comic take on Big Brother Naija in Yoruba, reportedly died of colon cancer on Wednesday, December 21.
It was learnt that Peteru, said to be the only son in a family of seven, just buried his father in the month of November this year.
Following the sad report, his colleagues in the entertainment industry, fans and followers, have taken to social media to mourn his sudden demise.

A while back, Big Brother star, Rico Swavey also passed away.
This comes after it was revealed that the reality TV star was placed on life support after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident.
Rico Swavey’s management had earlier taken to Twitter to give an update on Rico’s health.
“Hello everyone, Rico Swavey is not disposed to handle his socials right now as he was involved in a ghastly accident and is currently on life support. While his situation is critical and doctors are on him, We implore your support and prayers.” they tweeted.
However, in a new development, his friend and colleague, Tobi Bakre took to his Twitter page moments ago to announce that he has passed away.
