New reports on Facebook have it that a pregnant woman has lost her life after her husband, who’s a Jehovah Witness refused medical opinions by doctors to save her life.
The pregnant lady was short of blood and the medical practitioners advised that she had blood transfusion but her husband bluntly refused this – her husband is a member of the Jehovah Witnesses and he said it is against the doctrine of the church to engage in such medical operations.
A doctor was disgusted by her husband’s refusal and decided to transfuse blood by force but he couldn’t because her husband threatened to take him up in court if he does.
Eventually, the woman and her unborn child died and the husband will have to live with that guilt for the rest of his life, that he had the chance to save her and he didn’t.

So, I was at a General Hospital in Lagos while an heavily pregnant woman was rushed in on child labour. She was immediately taken to the theater and after some mins, one of the lead doctors came out to request for the husband of the pregnant lady.
DOC: Your wife is short of blood. She needs an immediate blood transfusion.
Husband: Same thing they said from the hospital she has been in the last 3 days of labour. We are Jehovah witness, we don’t accept unknown blood.
DOC: This is highly important to save your wife’s life and the unborn baby.
Husband: We have worked for the lord with all our strength, he can’t fail us, she can’t die.
DOC: I may need to proceed forcefully if you don’t accept.
Husband: Then be ready to face the law in court.
So the doctor went back to the theater, asked the woman if she has another relative close by who can sign to receive blood while she was wheeled out of the theater. The woman cried with her pale eyes and begged the husband to allow the doctors transfuse but he refused bluntly. I was so angry and I walked up to him. Tried convincing but he was so adamant and stubborn.
Some mins later, the doctors asked him to take his wife to LUTH, for better health care facilities that could condole non blood transfusion. He was requested to get an ambulance for transportation. To my surprise, this nigga got a Volvo stretcher ambulance meant for dead people. Gosh, so angry at this point.
Called a couple of people around and I aided a quick release of a proper life saving ambulance. While wheeling this woman to the ambulance after wasting about 4hours, she gave up in tears and was later confirmed that the unborn baby also died.
Wow! What a wicked world in the name of a borrowed religion. Then the husband bursted into tears. I didn’t do much, I moved close, looked straight into his eyes, slapped and gave him a couple kicks which later threw the whole general hospital into chaos.
I later reminisced over it the following day and asked myself this questions; why would I allow my loved one die in the name of a religion? Should the religion save lives or kill?

First I want to ask this question ?, what if the woman ? accepted the blood transfusion and later dies, because I’ve seen series of cases where a patient gives up even after many packs of blood,
Or have we forgotten that Pope John paul II died of a gunshot even after receiving a huge quantity of blood.
Jesus christ obeyed God even to death, he could have chosen not to die such a painful and excruciating death, rather he allowed the will of God to take place, and that was the same with his apostles.
If a doctor asks you to abstain from alcohol probably because of diabetes, is it wise to transfuse it through your veins claiming that you’re still obeying the doctor’s advice, not really!
Therefore God have instructed us not to eat any form of blood, be it that of animal, he placed a premium on blood, the bible book of Leviticus 17:14 and many other places in the Bible referred to blood as life itself and the Bible book ? of Acts 15:29 urged Christians to KEEP ABSTAINING FROM BLOOD, this is to show that blood is very precious in the eyes of God,
I want to Finalize this write-up with this illustration, having established with the aid of the Bible that CONSUMPTION of blood is a gross sin……….. lets now assume that someone comes to you at a gunpoint and ordered you to denounce God or you’ll die but you refused, the person pestered you but you stood firm and the person shot you, only for you to discover that the gun has no bullets, now i want you to imagine how Gid will feel had it been you did the opposite, disappointed right?
If you really want to know why the man in question objected to blood transfusion, it is best to hear from the horse’s ? mouth, the reporter have done well to report though without prior investigation.
Well Jehovah’s Witnesses follows God”s commandment recorded in acts 15:28 to keep abstaining from blood… The brother that lost his wife would have done any other thing within his power to save his lovely wife and baby. We all weep with him but one of God’s promises is that recorded in Rev.20:4 that God will remove every tears from our eyes and death will be no more. The bible also talked about Resurrection so until then let us all maintain our faith and love to our God. Brother ur faith and obedience is worthy of emulation. We look forward to welcoming her and the baby in God’ new world.
