President Buhari departs Katsina, arrives Abuja following election postponement

President Buhari departed Daura, Katsina state and has arrived Abuja after the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections today February 16th.

The President had earlier expressed disappointment at the Independent National Electoral Commission for the election shift.

Part of his statement read ;

I am deeply disappointed that despite the long notice given and our preparations both locally and internationally, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) postponed the Presidential and National Assembly elections within hours of its commencement.
