Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, has disclosed to the State House correspondents just before entering the Council Chamber to start the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting that President Buhari is in high spirit and would soon return home.
Osinbajo who paid a visit to the President in London yesterday evening said he spoke with him for over an hour, stating that he would soon be back.
He said:
“First you know I went to see him to check up on him and find out how he was doing. I have been speaking to him on the phone and I thought it would be a good thing to go and see him and check up on how he was doing and also to brief him on developments back at home. We had a very good time. We had a very good conversation on wide ranging issues. He is in very good spirit. He is recuperating very quickly and he is doing very well”.
When asked to speak on the state of President Buhari’s health, The Acting President said:
“As I have said, he is in very high spirit. He is recuperating very quickly. We had a very long conversation. We spoke for well over an hour. His humor is all there. He is doing well”.
On when President Buhari is expected back home,
He said:
“I think very soon. Very very soon. I think we should expect him back very soon. As I said, he is recuperating very very fast”.
Also, when asked on when the two Ministers cleared by the senate would be sworn in, He said he is not in a position to give a date for that.
