Popular Nigerian social media commentator, Daniel Regha has thrown shades at Nollywood stress Funke Akindele, media personality, Toke Makinwa and others who’ve travelled to Paris amidst reported bed bugs outbreak in the city.
According to Daniel, he doesn’t feel this is the right time for them to travel to the French capital as he feels their action is putting the whole nation in danger.
Toke, who recently traveled to Paris posted a picture online with the caption “Paris is always a good idea” had tongues wagging online with majority pleading with her not to bring bed bug into Nigeria when she returns.
In light of this, Regha took to page to tweet,
“Not Toke Makinwa, Funke Akindele & some Naija celebs visiting Paris despite the bedbug outbreak; Just to attend a concert. Funke was contesting in the last elections, but is this how to show leadership? Putting the whole nation at risk just to get highlights. All it takes is one carelessness & this outbreak hits Nigeria.
A large number of tweeps have supported Daniel’s opinion while others believe he’s overreacting and should let the celebrities be.
