Photos from the ordination of a man with stylish dreadlocks, as a Catholic priest has surfaced online and sparked reactions on social media.
According to a Twitter user, identified as @MrObi_ who shared the photos on the platform, the ordination took place in Canada.
Sharing photos of the newly ordained priest, he wrote,

In some of the pictures, the ordained priest is seen observing Mass and administering Holy Communion to a recipient of the sacrament.
The viral photos from the priest’s ordination ceremony has sparked debate on Twitter, as Nigerians argue on whether or not it is right for a Catholic priest to have dreadlocks.
A Twitter user, @Wozebaba wrote, “And na catholic parents judge indecent look pass, now e don turn to nothing is wrong”.
Another user, @AkwasiBoat2 wrote,
“And what do you mean by..”your view”? Dreadlocks are black and African origin and culture. Be proud he has not thrown away his identity. You will ask such questions because you think locks are bad. That’s what they Want u to believe”.
Another Twitter user wrote, “Natural or artificial, nothing is wrong with it but we Africans have chosen to judge people by their hair style asif our ancestors didn’t plait their hairs”.
