Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has taken to social media to express gratitude to the Federal Government for conferring him with a prestigious National title.
The 30-year-old singer, in a post shared via his Instagram page, said it’s an honour to be named an OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger).
According to him, it has always been his mission to showcase Nigeria in a positive light and he is very grateful to be recognized for his good works.
He posted a video of himself with his hit song ‘Over Dem’ playing in the background and captioned it,
“Honored to hear the news that I have been conferred with an OON (Officer of the Order of The Niger) by The Federal Government of Nigeria.
I am grateful for this recognition and honour. It has always been my mission to use my platform to showcase our country – the passion, the resilience, the joy the culture and of course the struggles of our people. I do not take any of this for granted. We have one Nigeria and we will continue to do whatever we must to make it better!
