Nigerian singer and songwriter, Alexander Adelabu professionally known as Magixx has shared his affection for music from early childhood, stating that he recorded his first song at a teen age.
In a recent interview on The Beat 99.9 Fm, the singer spoke about his musical career and how he started as a rapper in the university. He mentioned that his self belief helped him to navigate his love for music.
The 24 years old singer disclosed that he started his musical career as a rapper in his third year in the University of Lagos and he was known majorly as a rapper in school. Magixx noted that his first release was a full rap song.
The Love Don’t Cost A Dime crooner said,
“I love listening to music generally, I just really love listening to music and …from when I was like ten, eleven in fact I recorded my first song when I was like twelve; twelve, eleven I already had my first song”
He stated that after recording his first song as a teenager, he was sure of what he wanted because of his affection towards music.
He also added that he didn’t view making music from the perspective of being a talent until he recorded a song and people were complimenting the work.
