Reality TV star, Pere Egbi, popularly known as Pere, has reacted to the news that he sent gifts to his colleague, Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ winner, Mercy Eke.
Mercy had earlier posted on her Snapchat stories videos of herself being surprised with several gift items by a secret admirer.
Fans and shippers of both reality TV stars, however, concluded that the gift items were from Pere because the duo developed a close bond after the show and had been caught several times on camera sharing a kiss.
Pere has however come out to debunk the news. Sharing via his X (formerly Twitter) page, he tweeted “Respectfully that was not me.”
His response, however, generated different reactions from their shippers and fans. While some were shocked, others wondered if things were fine between them.
