A Nigerian teacher has taken to social media to share the meal her student was consuming in class during lunch hour.
The teacher identified as @i_ammarygold shared on TikTok that rice is an expensive food in the local market but people still need to eat, hence, they opt for the food they can easily afford.
The female teacher, who is a NYSC corps member was filled with excitement stating that her students always amaze her with their exceptional act.
She captioned,

In the viral clip, she recorded the male student consuming yam flour locally known as “Amala” with ewedu soup. She gave him water and praised him for his boldness to bring a local meal to school.
She noted that the boy was excited while she record him eat his local meal.
The video has sparked reactions online with some indicating that the meal is also expensive as rice in the local market while others share their experience after taking a local meal to school.
