Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, widely recognized as Ayra Starr, has stated that her greatest inspiration is the American-Barbadian singer Rihanna.
In a Rolling Stone interview, she declared that Rihanna’s album “Anti” is a timeless masterpiece that she constantly listens to.
According to Ayra Starr, she learned a crucial lesson from the album: accept that life may not always turn out as planned, that it’s good to be who you are, and to accept some setbacks.
She said;
“Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ is the album I can put on repeat for life. I love Rihanna. She is my greatest inspiration. She is my matriarch. She is my queen. Her album ‘Anti’ is timeless. I listen to it always. The more I listen to it, the more I understand it. I love it so much.
What I heard from Rihanna is being myself, understanding myself; whatever works for me is fine, some things don’t work for me, it’s fine. I’m just going to be myself in every situation.”
In related news, Ayra Starr appears to be on the verge of entering a new fashion era.
The self-proclaimed “Sabi girl,” well known for her penchant for short skirts and dresses, revealed that her mother has advised her to ditch her short skirts and start wearing longer skirts.
She made this disclosure on Twitter while sharing a video of herself rocking a two-piece outfit comprising a thigh-length skirt and matching crop top.
“My mom said I should start wearing longer skirts,” she tweeted.
