Agu Charles, a councilor representing Umuaku ward (2) in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, has died in a road accident two weeks after he was elected.
Charles who was elected as a councilor on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost his life in a motor accident on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021.
It was gathered that the deceased was sworn-in by Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, on December 22nd together with other elected officials.
The Chairman of Umunneochi LGA, Ifeanyi Madu, who confirmed the incident on Monday, January 4, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late councilor.
Madu sympathized with the family and prayed that God should console and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
In related news a Young man tragically lost his life in a mysterious way, just a day after he secured a new job.
The man identified as Abodam, reportedly complained of headache and sadly passed away some hours later.
A close friend of the deceased took to Twitter to share,
“My guy has been stressing for a job for the past 3 years after Uni, only to get a job and die the next day.
“Hmmm RIP Abodam.
“Heard he was supposed to start immigration training yesterday and he complained about headache, that’s all”.
