Today, veteran actor Alex Usifo popped up on Nigerian Twitter trends and it almost gave his Nigerians heart attacks, until they checked and found that the conversation about the top actor’s project.
“Swear down! Seeing Alex Usifo on the trends list was a huge scare until I checked,” on Twitter user said, and another added, “Haven’t heard anything about uncle Alex Usifo and suddenly he pops up on my trends list. Thank God it’s good news.”
The fear can be linked to the recent heartbreaking news of the demise of Nollywood veterans, and Usifo’s fans feared the trend was yet another sad story.

But what has the iconic actor been up to all the while?
According to Linda Ikeji Blog, the 63-year-old veteran resumed work as a lecturer at the Babcock University in Ogun State in 2011, where he taught the History & International Studies students. It is unclear if he still is a staff of the private university.
However, the actor is back on the screen again. This time, he is featuring in a mini-series, Dusk, where he plays a professor.
