Iconic Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known by stage name, 2Baba has taken to his social media page to laud singing sensation, Simi.
The “Opo” singer who might have been moved by the songstress’ latest releases “Duduke” and “Know You with Ladipoe” which have been trending on social media for a while now, said people shouldn’t act like the singer isn’t phenomenal.
Simi has been trending on social media for a while now after she announced that she and her husband are expecting their first child together – she made this announcement in a music video for her latest single “Duduke”.
The singing sensation was also featured in Nigerian rapper, Ladipoe’s “Know You” – a lover’s duet that has celebrities and netizens participating in a #KnowYouChallenge singing alongside their favourite celebrities.
With quite a number of hit singles to her name including these recent ones, we are not surprised why 2Baba is acknowledging her talent on social media… The singer wrote in a tweet,
“I know say [COVID-19] wahala dey but why are we doing like @SympLySimi is not phenomenal,” he tweeted. Simi on the other hand replied with the most heartwarming tweet.
Flattered by the complimentary commentary, Simi replied,
“Hay God. Some compliments are bigger than others,”
