Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye of the defunct music group Psquare has shared his encounter with the police in Lagos.
Paul Okoye took to his Insta-stories to lament about the operations of the security operatives in Lagos. According to him, he recently visited a club for the first time in 2 years and the police had put barricades on every road on the Island, extorting people.
Taking to social media to air his displeasure, he wrote,
“went to the club for the first time after 2yrs plus…mehn…For God sake why are they traffic at 2-3am. Barricades everywhere in Lagos Island… Police extortion every angle with no shame.
Mostly at club junctions and places that leads to people’s home… Meanwhile you cant find them on roads leading to third mainland bridge. Big Man, Chairman, Big Boy Anything for us? Shi shi una no go see for my hand”.

In other news, Nigerian singer, Ruggedman has advised Nigerians with cars to ensure they get all necessary documents for their vehicles to avoid being extorted by police officers.
The singer who gave this advice in a post shared on his Instagram page noted that he would not give money to any police officer and advised his fans and followers to do the same.
He revealed he resolved never to give money to any police officer because of the way they treat innocent Nigerians.
