Canadians have trooped to social media to cry out over the sudden rise in the cost of living in Canada.
In videos that have gone viral on the internet, Canadians, both men and women, complained bitterly about the increase in the price of basic living items.
One of the women, who was sobbing bitterly, said she works tirelessly yet her income is barely enough to cater for her living expenses.
Another woman expressed frustration about the escalating prices of food items, and bemoaned buying six pieces of potato for $10.
“How is it that six pieces of potatoes cost $10?” she asked.
A young man advised people planning to migrate to Canada to come in two or threes so they can live together and split the bills.

In other news, a Nigerian man has shared the unexpected events that took place after he paid a travel agent N15 million to secure him a job and a visa to Canada.
According to Grama Shasha who shared the man’s story on TikTok, he wanted to relocate to Canada with his family.
A visa to Canada for the man and his family was promised in exchange for an upfront payment of N5 million from the man.
A fake letter of employment that the agency promised would allow him to work in Canada was all that was delivered to him after a few months.
The travel agency disappeared after that. The man went to another agent since he wasn’t sure what to do and gave him the letter containing the job offer. Read here
