Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has heaped praises on late singer, Sound Sultan for his contribution at the 2020 #EndSARS protest.
Omokri in an Instagram post shared a collage photo of the singer speaking at the protest ground in 2020 and stated that Sound Sultan knew about his health condition, yet he sacrificed his comfort to join the fight against police brutality.
Sound Sultan died of throat cancer on Sunday, July 11, after a long battle with throat cancer.
The activist compared the late singer to President Buhari, who he claims ran to London for 6 months when he was sick, whereas Sultan stayed and fought for the common man.
He wrote,
“And to think that Sound Sultan knew about his health condition, yet he sacrificed his comfort to fight for the common man. What an uncommon man.
Buhari was sick and he ran to London for 6 months. In a similar situation, this young man chose to associate with the people.
Whenever a sane regime rises to power, this photo should be put on Nigeria’s stamp.”
