Popular TikTok influencer Khabane Lame, better known as Khaby Lame, has caused quite a stir on social media, especially among Africans, after revealing his favorite African artist.
In an interview with Okay Africa at the 66th Grammy Awards held on Sunday, January 4, the Senegalese-born Italian social media personality disclosed that the African artist he has had on repeat is none other than the late American rapper, 2Pac.
However, his statement has left netizens, particularly Africans, bewildered because 2Pac, born Tupac Shakur, is clearly not African but a black American artist, and they expected Khaby to know better because he is Senagelese.
Others asserted that Khaby, who is the most followed TikTok user with over 160 million followers on the platform, should continue keeping mute as he does in his comedy videos where he silently mocks overly complicated life hack videos, without uttering a word.
