A Nigerian man has issued a warning to gospel artists who constantly make Christian remixes of secular music.
The video which was shared on TikTok, captured him condemning the style and asking gospel artists to desist from making those kinds of songs.
According to him, you can’t glorify God by changing the lyrics in a secular song to Godly ones because it has already been given to the world.
He went on to say that when gospel artists want to glorify God, they should do it properly and not water down Christianity.
The majority who came across his video agreed with his opinion, while others shared how they felt about it.
Below are some of the comments,
@Efosa: Somebody finally said it, it’s high time they wrap it up
@Genny: What I want to understand is, they spent time listening to that same secular song before doing a remix
@Elajem: I have said this thing before and people were attacking me for it, like how do you listen to the secular song and then do a remix to it
@Juwon: That was how someone remixed Rema’s Ozeba and people were hyping it in the comment section
@Emma: God will bless you for this, it’s becoming annoying
