Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinwale, popularly known as Joeboy, has warmed the hearts of many with his recent philanthropic gesture to residents of Lagos state.
The 26-year-old singer provided free Danfo buses to Lagos residents to help cushion the effect of the increase in transportation fares, due to the fuel subsidy removal policy.
Joeboy took to his official social media accounts to make the exciting announcement on Tuesday, June 13. He shared a lovely video showcasing the branded buses adorned with the cover art of his newly released album, ‘Body and Soul.’
According to the ‘baby’ crooner, the buses will be operational from 8 am to 5 pm, providing complimentary rides along the routes of Iyana Oworo-Lekki/Jakande, Unilag Gate/Yaba, and Obanlende/Oshodi for the next three days.
He tweeted,
“I know the fuel subsidy p is hard on everyone right now so here’s my little way of helping. For the next 3 days, there will be FREE Body & Soul buses along the following routes between 8am and 5pm.
Enjoy the ride, Love you guys❤️”
