Nigerian female music stars, Tiwa Savage, Waje, and Omawumi have congratulated their colleague Tems on her first Grammy award.
Tems made history as the first female Nigerian singer to win a Grammy, winning the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category for her role in “Wait for U,” a hit song by Future featuring Drake.
Tems’ Grammy win is undoubtedly a huge deal for the Nigerian music industry, and top Nigerian female singers have taken to their social media pages to congratulate Tems.
Tiwa Savage shared Tems’ photo on her Insta stories with the captions, “@temsbaby you already know (love emoji) 4 life.”
Omawumi and Waje, for their part, also shared Tems’ photo on their Instagram pages and wrote, “Massive congratulations.”

In other news, actress Ini Edo has revealed why she does not consider herself a feminist.
She shared this in a recent interview with Taymesan on the ‘Tea with Taypod’ podcast, while speaking on the contentious term ‘feminism’.
She stated that even though she loves fighting for women’s rights, she does not consider herself a feminist because she was raised to value and respect men.
According to her, she is not struggling for the ‘King’ position as most women are, nor is she is cut out for fighting for equal rights with men.
She averred that she is content with being a woman and a “queen” as long as her partner does not oppress her and allows her to be herself.
