A Nigerian man, identified as Isidore Ene Bassey, has opined that virginity doesn’t automatically mean someone has excellent character.
Bassey stated this while reacting to a post about virginity and character being largely connected.
Bassey, who apparently doesn’t agree with the assertion, opined that virginity is not the same as character.
According to him, virginity alone is not enough to sustain a healthy and happy marriage.
He went on to narrate the story of his brother, who got married as a virgin, but the marriage lasted only six months.
“To whom it may concern, virginity is not the same as character, I have a brother that was a virgin, finished university, worked for years, went to UK, came back, still a virgin, married with both traditional and church rituals, yet marriage could not last 6 months. Parental guidance and instilled discipline is not the same as in-built character,” he wrote.
In other news, Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye has responded to a fan who expressed anger that he and his twin brother, popularly known as Psquare, do not own a record label like their colleagues.
Peter had taken to Twitter to share his travel itinerary for the next couple of days, along with a photo of himself on a plane.
Reacting to the tweet, the fan grabbed the opportunity to express his displeasure with the twin brothers for not owning a record label like Don Jazzy, who owns Mavin Records, singer Olamide of YBNL, and Davido, who owns DMW.
He also advised the singing duo, who recently reconciled after almost five years of separation, to start a record label and groom young talents to become superstars.
“I’m sorry if my idea sound rubbish
I’ve always been your fan psquare
But you not having standard record label such as Marvin Ybnl and dmw, makes me angry 😡
Find talent and help
Thanks”, he tweeted.
The tweet caught Peter Okoye’s attention and he told the fan that it’s not compulsory for every successful artiste to own a record label.
He added that he is too busy with other activities to handle a record label, and urged the fan to hold back his anger.
“I am sorry to disappoint you! It is Not every artiste that must run a record label. Some of us are just too busy doing other things. Most especially People Like me. So slow down with your anger. Thanks,” he wrote.
