The Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette is newest deal for the English Premier league side, Arsenal Football Club.
The 26-year-old striker has couple of fantastic records his new home will enjoy about him.
Here are some of them:
Goal Records:
Lacazette has a great dexterity in goalscoring. While playing for Lyon, his immediate past club side, he broke the club’s goal-scoring record for single season when he plundered 27 goals in the 2014-15 campaign. In fact, Lacazette scored Lyon’s only goal in the 2014 Coupe de la Ligue Final against Paris Saint-Germain.
He then broke his own record in the recent 2016-17 season, scoring 28 goals and becoming Lyon’s fourth highest scorer of all-time in the process.
No doubt, Arsenal is a quest for a fabulous scorer who can net the post in daring times for the team.
An Indispensable Landmark for Club
Lacazette has been one of the best players in the French league for the last few seasons and the fact that he made all of the last three Teams of the Season speaks volumes. He is one of only three players to have made heads-up in the last three years with Paris Saint Germain duo Marco Verratti and Thiago Silva being the other two.
Consistency With Team
Lacazette joined Lyon’s ranks at the age of 10 and he has played several matches for the club and won many records as well.
Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s coach cherishes good relationship with his players and the club side values players who can stay with the club for with all loyalty. Arsenal might just renew its 5-year- deal with the Frenchman.
Style Of Play
Lacazette previously played as a winger for Lyon, before becoming a striker. He dribbles, presses the opposition and wins the ball back using his tackling ability. In his overall style of play, Lacazette has been compared to former Arsenal striker Ian Wright by fellow Frenchman Gérard Houllier and Sonny Anderson, former Lyon striker.
Mentee of Thierry Henry
All times Henry was in Arsenal, he played the kind of game Arsenal is fascinated in, winning trophies. Arsenal might just end up spurring a great passion for Lacazette as he does same pattern with his senior player in France. He sees Henry’s feat of playing in Arsenal as such he desires. He revealed this in his interview with Arsenal media yesterday.
After, Alexandre Lacazette might be a perfect replacement for Thierry Henry after missing him so much.
