President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged for unity to stabilize the nation while reminding the populace that he is their leader regardless of the party they supported in the 2023 presidential election.
Dele Alake, Tinubu’s special adviser on special duties, said in a statement on Saturday that Tinubu made the remark during a discussion with the Nigerian diasporan community in France.
Tinubu left Nigeria a few days ago to travel to France for a two-day business meeting.
He pledged to advance the prosperity of Nigerians and strive for their best interests.
In his words;
“We must promote unity and stability for all. Whether you voted for me during the elections, or not, I am your President. I will work on your behalf to ensure a turning point of prosperity.”
On his decision to immediately remove fuel subsidy, the president said; “We have transport challenges, electricity challenges, infrastructural challenges and others. I let out the giant elephant of fuel subsidy without bringing down the house.”
