Popular South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest wowed his country people and others when he took to Twitter to reveal that he wishes he was from Nigerian because of the unison that lives in their music.
Cassper, who was nominated for the BET Best International Act award back in 2018, alongside two other Nigerian music artistes, Tiwa Savage and Davido, said in his tweet, he likes how Nigerians love and celebrate their own culture and indulge in it more.
He wrote in his tweet,
Won’t even lie. I wish i was from Nigeria too. The love they have for thier own artists, the way they celebrate their culture, 90% local content on radio and Tv, there way they celebrate their music no matter where they are in the world, the unity within thier industry. A DREAM!

His tweet has been fazed with mixed reactions both from his countrymen and those from Nigeria – some touched on how he can change the narrative of music in his country, while others shared how a number of Nigerians are supportive of his music too.
Different tales for different folks…….I never wished to be a Nigerian but I wished to be a south African…..your government provides and seeks the welfare of their citizens unlike Nigerian governments that are thieves.
I want to leave Nigeria and never been identified as a Nigerian….
