Tiwa Savage’s ex-husband, Teebillz has lauded award-winning music executive, Don Jazzy, for the huge role he played in taking Afrobeats to the world.
Taking to his Instagram page, Teebillz shared a throwback photo he took with Don Jazzy while on a flight and revealed that years ago, they had conversations about making Afrobeats a global sound and now it’s here.
According to him, without the Mavin records boss, Afrobeat won’t be celebrated worldwide as it is being celebrated now.
He wrote,

A while ago, Teebillz revealed he couldn’t speak proper English till he clocked 10 years.
The talent manager who turned a new age on Sunday, September 26th made this revelation in an Instagram post appreciating God for how far he has brought him.
Reminiscing on his childhood he disclosed that he’s an only child who grew up at Iba Estate, Ojo area of Lagos state. According to him, growing up he lacked exposure and couldn’t even speak proper English till the age of 10.
Sharing a throwback photo of himself he wrote,
“Not in jail, Not in hospital, Not dead!……. A single child, loner from Iba Estate in Ojo With lack of Exposure and couldn’t speak proper English till I was 10….. I think I’m Blessed and beautiful at…… 4 Decades later! 💛😍👌🏾 Love u Billz! #MoreLife”.
