Celebrated Nigerian superstar, Wizkid Ayo Balogun is/will be on the cover of US Hunger Magazine, as they wrote a cover article on him titled: “How WizKid is redefining pop and uniting young people from Lagos to London”.
In a recent chat, the Ojuelegba singer revealed that all he wants is to make good music for the world, but he still doesnt’ want to cross over to the international scene just yet, as he already has an African Fanbase.. and he knows what African wants.
On filling Fela’s Footsteps, Wizkid said he’s not interested in solving the problems of an increasingly messy and depressing nation; he just wants to give you a vehicle to escape them for a while, via an upbeat, global sound and rhythm, uniting young people from Lagos to London.
