Nigerian music star, Wizkid got a spot in former US President, Barack Obama’s 2020 summer playlist with his hit song “SMILE”.
The annual musical compilation is a routine which has become part of Obama’s social fun time memories as it helps the Obama’s get through summer, and the latest is sure to make help them get through the coronavirus pandemic.
Wizkid’s song SMILE featuring American singer and songwriter H.E.R made it onto the tall list. He is the only Nigerian who made it to the 2020 list.
You should also recall that in 2019, Nigeria’s Burna Boy and Rema made it to the ex-president’s summer playlist.
Sharing a screenshot of the 2020 compilation, Obama wrote; “Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer—including songs from some of the artists at this week’s @DemConvention. Hope you enjoy it..”
