Reality TV star, Sheggz Olusemo has defended his girlfriend, Bella Okagbue, against insults aimed at her voice and accent.
Recall that Bella Okagbue unleashed hefty curses on a troll for seemingly making a mockery of her voice.
The troll had taken to the microblogging platform, X, to share a video of Bella and her beau, Sheggz, enjoying a meal at a restaurant.
This evidently didn’t sit well with Bella, and she went online to express her displeasure with people who constantly ridicule her.
She asserted that she has been shamed for several reasons, including her voice, and that she has had enough because she only sounds Nigerian.
Taking to the microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), Sheggz expressed his satisfaction with Bella for being her authentic self as he condemned those who mocked her accent.
Sheggz highlighted that such behavior is inappropriate and voiced his disgust at the widespread body-shaming and insulting statements made about women in 2023.
He tweeted,
“So it’s now cool to be faking an accent. I love the fact that my woman is real, and true to herself. I think it’s sad that in 2023 people want to body shame a woman and speak down on her. It will never be ok, and if she overreacted then it’s understandable because enough is enough.”
