Nigerian professional footballer, John Ogu has announced the death of his mother, yesterday, January 25th.
The bereaved footballer described yesterday the worst day of his life as he took to Twitter to announce the demise of his mother.
His tweet read, “Worse day of my life.”

Ogu’s mother’s death was also confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on their verified Twitter handle.
The NFF tweeted,
“Our thoughts and prayers are with @NGSuperEagles midfielder @ogujohnugo following the passing of his Mom. May her gentle soul rest In peace.”

Fans of the football star have since taken to social media to offer their condolence.
A Twitter user @OkikeGodspower wrote, “Definitely not the worst the of your life. I pray that God will give you the peace of mind and grace to live on brother even as her soul rest on”.
