HKN chairman, Adewale Adeleke, has slammed BBNaija viewers, saying they are watching the show like their live depended on it.
Adewale, who is also the older brother of Davido, stated that most Nigerian youths are “lame as hell” as they spend time watching Big Brother Naija, instead of making money.
Adewale’s comment comes after former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, slammed Nigerian youths for showing little or no interest in National issues but are ardent followers of BBNaija.
Adewale shared FFK’s post on his Instastories and added; ”Y’all lame as hell watching big brother like your life depends on it! Go make some money”
Adewale isn’t the first Nigerian to have written off the popular TV show.
Recall that, popular social media commentator and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, also faulted the airing of Big Brother Naija, Lockdown edition.
The former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, explained that BBNaija promotes sex and immorality on national television.
In a tweet, the former Presidential aide said Nigeria needs television shows that would promote youthful business and not sex.
According to Omokri: “Even in UK, where it originated, Big Brother ended in 2018. We are the world headquarters for extreme poverty.
“Our population is growing faster than our economy. We need shows that promote youthful business, not #BBNaija that promotes youthful sex.”
