Controversial Nigerian rapper Cynthia Morgan has lambasted rapper Odumodublvck for stating that no other musician had paved the path for him.
Recall that the hip-hop artist recently told the story of how his father passed away because the family was unable to come up with N70,000 to cover the cost of a hospital bed.
Odumodu continued, saying that he firmly feels that no musician paved the path for his success in music because of the incident and other difficult life circumstances.
His statement came after Eedris Abdulkareem’s claim that he laid the foundation for Afrobeats stars, Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid to become successful in the music industry.
Odumodublvck wrote:
“When my father died, my family was poor. We could not pay hospital bed space of 70k [N70,000]. We had to take him home.
Coming to tell me about paving the way for me? That’s God, brother. No use your ego counter reason my reality, bros. I agree say you inspire me. But bros, you pave the way for nobody. Nobody! I hate when n*ggas try to play God.”
Cynthia Morgan criticised Odumodu for making rather contradictory claims, questioning why he said that someone had inspired him while maintaining that the individual had not paved the path.
She wrote;
“This Odumodu black na real odumodu, you claim someone inspired you but you wouldn’t agree he paved the way for you . What is going on in this country.”
